What is EdCamp?

EdCamps are composed of educators, administrators & staff members who share a vested interest in growing professionally. Unlike other conferences, EdCamps are considered to be an unconference because it does not include a key note speaker and the cost of attending is free. If you want to share your ideas, sign up to speak. You want to hear the ideas of others being shared, sign up to attend a session. Class Compete is an online educational gaming platform designed to allow students to review and practice concepts they learn while teaching test taking skills and strategies needed to become a more confident test taker and improve scores. Students play challenges aligned to standardized assessments in Math and Reading for grade K-8. Teachers and parents can access reports designed to provide valuable feedback and support both inside and outside the classroom. ClassCompete has donated certificates for a classroom set of student licenses (30) for the current school year for THREE lucky winners.
EDpuzzle has donated two t-shirts and some stickers. EdPuzzle provides an easy way to engage your students with videos: pick a video, add your magical touch and track your students' understanding.
StorybordThat and Photos for Class are donating two gift certificates for us to use as door prizes. They are also providing some information we can hand out to interested attendees.

BoomWriter is a free group-writing website for teachers where their students can develop and enhance their writing, reading, vocabulary, and peer assessment skills through our three collaborative tools: StoryWriter (creative/narrative writing), WordWriter (vocabulary), and new ProjectWriter (expository/argument/scientific writing).

To motivate student engagement, it also includes over 1,300 unique JogNog achievement badges. JogNog is great for elementary and middle school but there is also content for high school and college prep.

JogNog has donated a full subscription to the JogNog Practice and Assessment tool. The subscription is good through June 2017 so the winner will have the remainder of this year and another full year to use the platform. $99.99 value.
