How to Register
Due to low enrollment, we unfortunately will need to cancel the event for this year. (July 23rd, 2014)

The Agenda

Our EdCamp will kick-off with coffee, conversation, a blank session board, and an invitation for you to fill it with possible session suggestions. Participants will be able recommend and then select four sessions that they want to attend. There is one rule though. “Vote with your feet”. If a session does not meet your needs, simply get up and move on to another room! Or, grab a few colleagues and start your own collaboration session.

One thing that makes an "un-conference" unique is that the people attending--the participants! Why? Because your interests drive session development. We need participants to suggest and facilitate then lead the sessions. Therefore, we cannot succeed without you! There are others that want to hear how you are using technology in your classroom. What type of session might you be able to facilitate? This doesn't mean that you need to create a fancy presentation. In fact, sessions are often more beneficial when they are conversational or hands on, with someone starting the discussion and everyone else jumping in to share.

Here are a few ideas:
  • Chromebooks& Classroom File Management
  • Explore and learn what Google Drive has to offer
  • Chromebooks & ELA
  • iPad Tips and Resources for the single iPad classroom
  • Podcasting
  • Video production tools
  • Blogging 101
  • Global Collaboration
  • Curate the Web

Even if you are not sure if you want to create/lead a session, we know that you will have plenty to share and contribute to the discussions!

What to Bring

  1. A personal electronic device such as a laptop, tablet, or smart phone.
  2. Something for note-taking. We prefer electronic since this is an Edtech Camp but paper will also work.
  3. Confidence to ask questions and participate in group discussions.
  4. Willingness to lead or share ideas when you know something!
